Our Sponsored Walk on Sunday, 14 June went very well. Many of our supporters turned up at the entrance to Otterspool Park in Liverpool, and enjoyed the walk through the park, along the Woodland Walk, then up to the Lookout Point where people can sit on benches and look out across the River Mersey to the Welsh Hills in the distance. That was followed by a walk along the Mersey Promenade. There was a stop for lunch in the café and then on past Sitting Bull, a huge statue of a bull on the river front which children love climbing up and sitting on. Then it was on through more woodland areas and back to the starting point. And then there were teas/coffees and cakes available in a local hotel which had put aside a room for us.
People really enjoyed the walk and the money is coming in. And every penny will go towards helping to pay for the development of medical services for children in Nepal, one of the world’s poorest countries.
