On Sunday, 28 April, one of our oldest supporters, Pat Williams, organised her annual Garden Opening, inviting local people to visit her lovely garden, buy plants, and have some refreshments, to raise money for So the Child May Live. In spite of the rather dire weather forecast, the sun shone and people turned up in great numbers.
There was a wonderful display of food and home-made cakes and a great time was had by everyone. And to add to its success, people also gave generously as donations. This was the most successful Garden Opening held there and we were amazed to find at the end of the afternoon that we had raised over £1,000.
Congratulations, Pat, on a wonderful afternoon, really enjoyed by everyone who came, and doing so much for sick and injured children in Nepal.
